Our Story
Young McDonald Farm was established in 2016, when our oldest brother, Andrew McDonald purchased the land. His goal was to leave his family with a property that they could live on and run as a sustainable farm. Since Andrews passing shortly after he bought Young McDonald Farm, we as a family have been working towards his goals. As a family we strive to produce and raise quality products and cattle.

Beefmasters
At Young McDonald Farm we primarily raise registered beefmasters for top quality beef and replacement Heifers. Our girls are fed strictly a grass fed diet year around with the supplemental cubes as treats. Their grass fed diet is a mix that we plat and seed each year for the best nutritional value they could receive. These big beautiful girls are the heart and sole of what our farm runs on. They are spoiled and treated with nothing but love and respect. Come by and see our gentle giants!
Jersey Dairy Cows
Aside from our beefmasters, we also raise a handful of Jersey cows for milk. Meet our favorite girl, Shelly, pictured above.
Although we are not a licensed dairy, our girls provide the family with a bountiful amount of milk. Come by and check out the "princesses" of the farm and see how wonderful they are.

Laying Hens
We also offer farm eggs for sale at Young McDonald Farm. They come from our beautiful mix of laying hens that we have.
as listed in our egg section these girls have access to a rotational grazing system with different produce, grasses, and bugs of their choosing. They also have free choice access to a higher protein feed than the average egg layers as well as fresh milk on the regular.
Pasture Raised Broilers
Young McDonald Farm is proud to bring to your table the Freedom Ranger Broiler Chickens. These have been primarily grass fed chickens with some feed and milk from our Dairy cows. Now featuring No Soy or Corn Fed chickens.
Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs
At Young McDonald Farm we raise the Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, which is a heritage breed from England. These pigs are known for their exceptional marbling and flavor. Our pigs are raised on pasture and fed a soy free/corn free feed.
Silver Appleyard Ducks
We have recently added the Silver Appleyard Duck to the farm. They are a heritage breed known for their egg and meat production. Although ours love just hanging out in the pond with the pigs and enjoying the lazy life.

Homemade Jams and Jellies
Pick up your Homemade Jams from Young McDonald Farm. We have been told by many of our customers that they simply love our Homemade Jams and Jellies, and we can’t say we blame them.
That’s because everything we grow at Young McDonald Farm is grown with love, so our food looks better, smells better, and tastes better. Try it out yourself. Our Jellies and Jams also have a unique taste and flavor since many of them are from wild plants that grow natively around the farm.
Eggs
We’re proud to offer our customers wholesome farm eggs from our beautiful chickens. Ours girls live a life of luxury with fresh pasture and an assortment of fresh produce and milk for their diets. They are fed a well balanced diet with higher protein than most egg producers, which we have found to make that extra difference and nutrition and health of the eggs and our chickens. Their feed is also corn free/soy free.
Grass Fed Beef
Here at Young McDonald Farm we offer Grass fed and finished beef from our Beefmasters. We strive to bring you the best and most nutritious food sources. Our beef is some of the best on the market as far as grass fed and finished with superior flavor and marbling with our genetics.
Pasture Raised Poultry
Here at Young McDonald Farm we offer pasture raised poultry from our slow growing broilers. We raise the Freedom Rangers, that take longer to grow than the traditional store bought birds. With this they have better flavor, larger thighs, wings, and an overall healthier bird. We offer birds that are traditionally fed as well as Non-GMO, Soy & Corn Free fed.
Pasture Raised Pork
At Young McDonald Farm we offer pasture raised pork from our Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs. They provide an amazing pork with tons of marbling and flavor. A must try! Also, they are fed a Non-GMO, corn free/soy free feed.
Soaps & Lotions
We offer handmade soaps and lotions for yourself or your furry four legged best friend. We have a variety of scents and types that smell amazing. Come by and choose your favorite one!
Seasonal Fruits
Here at Young McDonald Farm we offer a variety of seasonal fruits and some veggies. Check with us each season to see what we have available.
Pecans
Starting in the fall if each year we offer fresh pecans from our 36 trees that line our driveway. We have several varieties of hybrid pecans as well as some of the most delicious native pecans. Stay tuned for when we have these available.
Firewood
We also offer year around firewood for sale. We primarily have mesquite, but also have some post oak available. Everything is primarily sold by the bundle, but feel free to message us for any other request you may have.
